Power Shift
Let me tell you something about a shift, in the powers that be.
Mainly, mankind.

Yea, many many men fear for their way of life, their women disenfranchised.
Get a get a wage, beneath their skills, eight tenths for each male dollar earned.
Lookin and a leerin’, with mannish menace mind, testosterone rules the land.
Mercy on the women, who stand strong, there are many who deem her actions wrong.

CHORUS: It’s a, power shift
Men scared of a, power shift
116th Congress, power shift
Chauvinism losing ground, power shift

CHORUS

CHORUS (2x)

Defend her, and them too, the system will renew,
Me too and you too, it is beneficial.
Give voice to all women, LGBQ millions,
Social injustice must be confronted.
Praise for the fighter bring us all higher.
Mmm mmm, bring us all higher, higher, higher, higher, higher.

Our wives and our daughters deserve lives with respect, men see all your sisters, and change your behavior.

Embrace the, Power shift!
Power shift!

People, my people, listen to me say, Congress changes it’s face today.
Yes, you’re willing willing to risk the status quo, undeterred by sexist souls.
Change laws, for you, and all, I applaud, applying pressure to our culture’s flaws.
I’m indebted to your service, impediments are vast, my wish for you is strength unabashed.

CHORUS

Springtime Kiss
The sun’s appearance in this northern state warms April ice, buds breaking free.
A child’s gaze upon life now unbound soothe spirit needs.

Heated hands coax covered arms from winter coats, skin to be seen.
Mud creations replace men of snow, rest in a dream.

Gimme some of that warmth and sunshine, hands up high I need your lovin’,
Lift me up the light is callin’, hold me tight with strength I’m fallin’.
Gimme some of that warmth and sunshine, hands up high I need your lovin’,
Lift me up the light is callin’, hold me tight with strength my darlin’.

CHORUS: When the streams are flowing freely, unobstructed by the falling snow,
Comfort me with your springtime kiss, reawakening, warmth and well being.

Cautious hillside steps glide into dance, move among the green.
Sound and smell release the joy in us, souls are washed clean.

Springtime is a-comin, nature resurrecting, springtime is a-comin.
Springtime is a-comin, nature resurrecting, springtime is a-comin.
Hey! Spriiiiiingtime is a-comin, nature resurrecting.

Complacency is the Enemy
One man, puts in overtime, between his sleep and vote he must choose.
Two women, on Nov. 9th, see the consequence of media’s false truth.
Three, students party hard, miss their ride to the voting booth.
U.S. citizens, their selfishness, bring benefits to the chosen few.

Complacency is the enemy – Hate crimes, on the rise now.
Complacency is the enemy – Bigotry will find it’s way if we don’t pay attention.

Complacency is the enemy — What’s the cost to children?
Complacency is the enemy – Privileged few are placed on top of suffering of others.

Now’s the time – take a stand and fight for citizen’s rights!
Now’s the time – the future needs a push for justice light!

Engage, organize, speak up, care for, see it, criticize, stand up, help out, protest, challenge.…complacency is the enemy.

The declaration written by our founding fathers claimed that “all…are created equally” and yet:
The lack of commitment to this vision has created a silent majority, while a vocal minority supports a regime bent upon banning “others.”
Where is the sense of decency in this country tis’ of thee?
Not so sweet land of liberty.
Opportunistic land of super rich nobility, which leads to
Enmity, hostility and toxicity.
Of thee I sing, of thee I sing.

Ignorance is a felony – What’s the cost to children?
Ignorance is a felony – Hate crimes, on the rise now.

This is why – take a stand and fight for citizen’s rights!
This is why – the future needs a push for justice light!

Engage, organize, speak up, care for, see it, criticize, stand up, help out, protest, challenge, listen, educate…Ignorance is a felony.

Engage, organize, speak up, care for, see it, criticize, stand up, help out,
Engage, organize, speak up, care for, see it, criticize, stand up, help out.
